The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSW) require employers to have arrangements in place to cover health and safety. This includes lighting which needs to be suitable and adequate to meet the requirements of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992.
There must be adequate lighting, either natural (daylight) and/or artificial (electric light). Food handlers and cleaners have to be able to see what they are doing, work safely and have sufficient light at all times to see if the premises need cleaning and that they are clean when they’ve been cleaned.
Die Pat offer a range of Canopy Hood Lights from LED, Flourescent to Incandescent.

Die-Pat fluorescent canopy hood light fixtures are available in sizes: 260mm x 667mm, 260mm x 972mm and 260mm x 1276mm. These light fixtures are recessed with low profile ( 4-1/2″ (114mm) high ) and for use in commercial cooking hoods. Listed to 80°C (176°F) with tempered prismatic glass diffuser with one piece of satin finished stainless steel face frame to match hood interior.

Die-Pat easy mount incandescent canopy hood light fixtures feature tuff skin coating which eliminates hot spot browning and discolouration of globe and also prevents the glass from shatting from impact if dropped, or unusual stresses and thermal shock. The glass is scratch resistant which improves light source by providing better diffusion. Easy and quick to install, grease proof, waterproof and heatproof construction. Also available with a wire guard.
