We are celebrating a huge milestone this month after 50 successful years in business.
Die-Pat is one of the oldest family-run businesses in Daventry, founded in 1966 by Ben Lee and Kath Gleghorn, mother of current Directors Christine Brander and Stuart Gleghorn.
Die Pat started out making legs, inserts and brackets but has grown to become the UK’s leading foodservices equipment hardware specialist.
Over the years, nine family members have worked at the firm, which has relocated three times since its humble beginnings in Coventry – most recently in 2006 from a smaller 14,000sq.ft premises to the 48,000sq.ft Die-Pat Centre in Broad March, Daventry, and accommodating over 1500 pallet spaces.
Yet whilst the company has evolved significantly over the years, it has always remained true to its core business and is proud to supply many of the customers it worked with in the 1960s.
The team takes great pride in its family heritage and many members of staff are also counted as part of the family, including Chris Nelson and Debbie Elsigood who joined the ranks in 1979 and 1984 respectively.
The Die-Pat name was created from the Steel Dies and Wooden Patterns originally produced for a customer’s prototype aircraft propellers and under carriages.
