Die-Pat Divisions achieves major warehouse transformation

Die-Pat Divisions Ltd. has recently completed a huge restructuring of its warehouse facilities in Daventry.

The company has made a substantial investment to optimise the 48,000 square feet space and improve overall performance and efficiency.
The cutting-edge storage facility has been transformed to enable continued growth of the business and better delivery of Die-Pat’s vast range of products and services to customers. The warehouse can now house almost 1200 pallets, an increase of 338. In addition, new racking has made space to house 375 out sized pallets for bulk storage.
The firm has upgraded its racking systems, computers, workstations and equipment and the warehouse now benefits from an enhanced drive-through area and specially designated courier lanes for daily despatches.

Importantly, new Goods In and Despatch areas have been created, along with a new Assembly and Pick Pack area.
The Goods In department in particular, required more floor space to accommodate the increase in the number and size of deliveries. To achieve these needs, 210 pallets were relocated to allow for the creation of the cleaner and more efficient section.

Eddy Edwards, Managing Director of Die-Pat, said: “With a growing and diversifying business, it became apparent that in order to best serve our customers both now and in the future, we needed to modernise and utilise our space more efficiently.

“We are lucky enough to have a huge warehouse but with our group of companies evolving, we needed to make a substantial investment to allow and plan for continued expansion.”
